Interprofessional Education Center

The $80 million Interprofessional Education Center (funded, in part, through $40 million in campaign gifts) is a key component of UTMB’s efforts to train the health care workforce of the future. The 200,000-square-foot facility will include:

• Additional classroom space, particularly vital as UTMB is poised to significantly increase already record enrollments to help Texas address health care workforce shortages.
• A new auditorium, providing vital educational experiences for students across UTMB’s four schools.
• Education and conference space for students and practicing professionals engaged in lifelong learning.
• Additional space to accommodate future growth in the university’s educational enterprise.
