Endowed Faculty Positions
UTMB’s four schools are home to some 900 faculty members, many among the world’s leaders in their respective fields. What if we could build an even more powerful incentive for recruitment of the best faculty? What if we could assemble the kind of philanthropic resources that help the university retain some of the best scientific minds, the most compassionate and skilled clinicians and the most dedicated educators?
Through the generosity of the university’s friends and alumni, we can. By establishing permanent endowments, we can give outstanding faculty the tools they need to excel in the training of tomorrow’s health care pioneers, to address some of the great public health challenges of our age, to spark the fire of innovation in the university’s expansive clinical enterprise.
Endowed faculty positions—professorships and chairs—are positions of distinction held by some of the best faculty. These named positions are supported by permanent endowments established by the university’s benefactors.
